Green Mango Smoothie

Adding some spinach to your smoothie is one of the best ways to kick start your greens intake for the day and honestly, you can’t even taste it. Make the Green Mango Smoothie the perfect start to your day.

Spinach is one of my favourite vegetables to add to smoothies and meals. Its typically low maintenance. It comes washed in a bag, it doesn’t need chopping, it just needs a big handful! Its the perfect way to increase intake of fibre, vitamins and minerals.

Green Mango Smoothie – Key Nutrients

Spinach – A really good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin A and vitamin K. Spinach is a great source of antioxidants. And if you’ve had a few drinks the night before, this is a great way to kick start the recovery process.

Mango – One cup of mango contains 12% of your recommended daily fibre intake (25mg females/30mg males). Not only that, it also contains 100% of your vitamin C needs (45mg/day) and more than 20 different vitamins and minerals.

Chia Seeds – Packed with nutrients including omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids, protein, fibre and calcium. Chia seeds are little nutrition powerhouses!

Tips

I use a standard cup measure. If you don’t have one you can use a mug and substitute the amount for ¾ of a standard size mug.

Find your Ingredients

Almond milk - milk fridge or long life milk aisle (I really love Nutty Bruce Almond Milk found in the fridge in Woolworths).

Spinach, mango, banana - fruit and vegetable aisle

Chia seeds - health food aisle

If you like this smoothie, you’ll love these;
