Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

Fresh strawberries are currently in season and they are perfect to add some sweetness to this Strawberry & Banana Smoothie Recipe. Smoothies are a quick and easy way to get some additional fruit and fibre into your diet.

Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C!

When I make smoothies I only use as much fruit as I would ordinarily eat, otherwise, it’s very easy to overload the recipe. Smoothies are always a great option compared to juices too because smoothies retain all of the fibre components to fruit and this recipe contains 4.4 grams of fibre. The recommended daily intake for males is 30g and for females 25g.

Tips

I use a standard cup measure. If you don’t have one you can use a mug and substitute the amount for ¾ of a standard size mug.

If you don't have avocado you could use 1 tbsp or tahini or nut butter instead.

My favourite protein powder to add is Nuzest Vanilla Protein.
